About
“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage are not always comfortable, but they’re never weakness.”
-Brene Brown
So, a little bit about me. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Art Therapist, and Qualified Supervisor through the state of Florida. If you would like to learn more about individual counseling, the profession of art therapy, or if you are a registered mental health counseling intern pursuing licensure in Florida and are seeking supervision services, feel free to check out the services page for more information.
Prior to residing in Florida, I grew up further north. Maryland (go Ravens!) is where I grew up most of my life. Crab cakes and football anyone? In my free time I enjoy CrossFit or engaging in something active, a creative house project, watching anything action/crime oriented, and spending time adding items to online shopping carts pretending I can purchase them... I also love to cook. Cooking has been a passion of mine since I was a young girl and something I find so therapeutic! I like to say that I am a self-proclaimed queso expert…Lastly, I am a huge animal lover! I have a goofy doggo named Tig at home. So if we ever do a virtual appointment, I can assure you that he will make himself known at some point, whether that be by him barking at the Amazon truck driver or putting his smushy face on my laptop saying hello.
In regards to my therapeutic approach, I don’t believe that there is a “one size fits all.” I am a very person centered therapist who incorporates several approaches and techniques that align best with the client in front of me. I love to empower and challenge my clients, often exploring unique and creative pathways to desired goals. One of my favorite things about being a therapist is being a part of the peaks and valleys of all the journeys and witnessing the beautiful growth.
